What is “Truelys”?

The process of coming up with the name Truelys was painstaking. But after months of brain storming with friends and family it finally clicked. It had been staring me in the face the whole time! Truelys!

The idea of Truelys and its name came about because I wanted my products to be truly all natural. So many companies advertise all natural goods that really aren’t. I wanted to bring to the table a line of bath and body products that “Truely” are all natural. Soaps that feel great and you can feel great about.

How did Truelys come to be?

I have always enjoyed making things; sock snowmen, holiday wreaths, candles, cooking, gardening, scrapbooking, and pretty much anything I can use my hands for.

My parents have been remodeling a centuries old home as a bed and breakfast. It was my mother who sparked a new interest for me when she said she would like to learn how to make soaps for future guests. What a great hobby! So, I went and bought some ingredients, a mold, found some recipes, and started experimenting. By Christmas I had a slew of guinea pigs helping me refine my recipes. In turn they received very large gift baskets of all the soaps I had been making.

During the process mom saw just how expensive and time consuming soap making is and decided she would just buy the soaps. Running a bed and breakfast keeps her busy enough! By the end of the year many guinea pigs suggested I start a business and sell my soaps. Months later Truelys was born. Ta-Da!

Of course being a scientist at heart the experiments continue. I have added salt bars, lotion bars, and lip balms to the menu with more to come.
